Sounds like she'll have to buy a new screen.

If it costs less than buying a new lappie :/

If she had some sort of servicing agreement with Compustore they might have handed the contract off to another company like Gateway did when it went the way of the dinosaur.

compustore is gone, and even if it wasnt, no warranty i have come accross covers screens.

    Well, yeah, obviously :)

It would be rather silly otherwise. Might have been a servicing deal though, like Dell's "three year onsite parts & labour" and whatnot. I was under the impression Compustore had something like this?

sorrry, i meant to say, i used to work in compustore, and manufacturer warranty or in store extended warranty did not cover screens, or accidental damage of any kind.
