RF2 ouput problem

My remote eye stopped working last night in the playroom. No matter how many times I reset the box and turn the RF2 power on/off I can't get it to work. I assumed it was the eye itself so went and got a new one today in Curry's (sorry Tony but I did get the first one off you). Would you believe it, it does not work either so I think I may have a problem with my digibox. It's a black/silver PACE box about 3yrs in old. I have even connected in both eyes directly to the back of the box to no avail.

Has anyone else had similar expieriences and have any ideas for me. Please don't say I have to do and spend a ball of money ... I just got home heating oil during the week so am skint.

eh u can edit your post :) try plugging the tv link directly into the back of the box instead of the cable and see does it work then, this will give you a good idea where the fault lies. BTW how much did u pay for the second tv link?

I tried that and it still does not work. I paid €45 for a 'pack' that included the TVLink and a 2nd Remote. I know - I was robbed but it was the handiest at the time as I thought it would be back working fairly lively. The original one I bought from yourself there about 2.5 yrs ago, by the sounds of it, the problem seems to be with the box and the original still works.

Would you think the best option for me is to contact those guys in Fermangh for a repair or is it worth repairing?

I would ring for a quote and compare the price of a new box bearing in mind you get a one year warranty and the new box may well be faster than your existing one.
