FTV card problem

Last week I got 2 FTV cards from a friend in Wales. He activated them before sending them over to me. They have been in digiboxes for the last three days. But their EPGs are messed up. BBC 1 is London and BBC 2 is England when both should be Wales and ITV, CH4 and Five are not listed at all. My EPG goes from 102 (BBC2) to 106 (sky one). When I type in 103, 104 or 105 it says channel unavailable. I have ITV, Ch4 and five on 'other channels' and they work fine there. BBC 3 & 4 and ITV 2 & 3 are on the EPG and work fine. Any ideas what’s up with the cards and how I can sort the EPG out?

The cards are activated as such ie your friend probably put them in his digibox and it initialised it ,just as it probably did when you put it in yours aswello
But he mustnt have rang the FTV number to pair the card with a digibox ie activate it properly.

He must have thought activating a card simply meant that it is just put in a box once.
Or possibly he put it in a box and didnt leave it in long enough for the activation to come through, having phoned the ftv card centre to activate and pair it.

You must get your friend to ring again and this time give your boxes serial number and get them to re send the activation to pair the card with your box.

To be sure you leave the card in before during and after he rings them and then for a further 24 hrs and it should have got the right epg and have the channels working by then.

Make sure he "pretends" to have your box when he rings and also get him to "pretend " he is in work in case they ask him to tell them whats on screen .
He can say he left it turned on at home on BBC1.

Just got off the phone to sky (number blocked). Have all me friend details so they sent a signal and all is working now. But while I was on to them the girl I spoke to asked where I was ringing from and I said Wales and asked her why she asked. She Said are you positive you’re not in the ROI your accent tells me you might. She went on to tell me that it was breaking copyrights to use the card outside the UK. So I told her I had no intention of doing that. :D Id say they know that a lot of free sat cards go outside the UK. ;)

All false.Mate of mine got stung by this before Christmas and yer man won't answer calls from him.He reported him to Sky.

Offer atm is,multiroom install €30,HD PACK & Multiroom together is €20 pm on top of your sub for the first year. You also need a landline connected to the boxes.

Your package would cost €53 per month, not €33 as he quoted.

See bargain alerts forum for the best Sky offers from fatcheese.com
