wat the **** could you have done to get sent to the jd 13 times! are do you just wanna get caught? jesus, every one seems to be an amateur these days!

This is in reference to the all time record of being sent to the Junior Dean 13 times without being expelled from the university set by a said gentleman.

Peter H is his accomplice and also a gas character who has reached the nine. He only needs another 5 to defeat the record.

Fade: Just think if you are caught 13 times, how many times did you get away with it? :D

    Caught doing what?

What would be an example of an activity that would require visiting the Junior dean? Not doing your homework? Not saluting a fellow? Drunk and disorderly on campus? Drug use on campus?

they got me for stupid things like making fun of tangnie, switching the room signs in goldsmith hall, fighting, breaking in to the ball, and intimidating the election council among other things. then they had the gall to refuse my freedom of information request. if they only knew what i got away with! :D
Peter is the man. i heard stokes is really a man

Can't believe they refused your FOI request, that is VERY questionable as it is information concerning YOU held in a publicly funded body TCD and thus they MUST release the record to you!

Take it up with the FOI commisioner in TCD then with the FOI comissioner in the government! Stir trouble.....

Then post the record on the internet for all to see! :D

What on earth makes you think the FOI request had anything to do with him.

Peter H is the biggest legend ever to go to Trinity. He breaks records people didn't even know existed.

We should start a peter is a legend thread.

I think you maybe reading it wrong. If i make a FOI request it is my FOI request, however it may have absolutely nothing to do with me, and therefore they would have every right to refuse it. It depends on what the FOI request was related to, he didn't say it was for his record. Hell he could be asking for documents partaining to his record with don't even exist, such as "minutes from the meeting where the JD and all the heads of staff decided to do me in"

I think in his case, he was asking for information that would effect parties (i.e. security guards) giving similar information again in future. I think that's a load of rubbish cos if a security attendant writes something about someone in a security report, then this report should be open to scrutiny and not kept in a confidential manner.
The way it is at the moment in Trinity is if you are accused of something written in a security report, then you've no access to that report. That sux.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 17,163 ✭✭✭✭Boston

I don't think it's quiet that. You "should" have access to those repots but not who made them. It's quiet particular but theres no special rules for trinity, if your request involves a third party then thigns get complicated. This bino guy hasn't told what exactly he has requested yet btw, or the reasons given for refusing it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,461 ✭✭✭DrIndy

If I had a record with the Junior Dean, I would be damned if I didn't get the opportunity to see my file. It pertains to me and thus I have entitlement to know what it contains.

Thats natural. I find it quite odd that it should be refused as it is personal info pertaining solely to Bino. If needed, then you can black out the names of the people reporting it - thats fine, but to refuse point blank strikes me as highly nefarious and an infringement on your civil rights to know what is on your record.

How do you know thats what happened? Fair enough if that is exactly the case, but I've seen nothing to suggest it is. Maybe you know more then has been said on this thread, I don't know. Futhermore it would not only be "nefarious and an infringement on your civil rights" but also Somewhat illegal of them. I just require more then the word of this bino character before I believe trinity is taking part in a massive cover up. To what ends no one knows.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,198 ✭✭✭✭Crash

I also find the idea of someone getting before the junior dean 13 times and considering it something to be proud of "for stupid things like fighting and intimidating the electoral council" is just odd and ****ing stupid. Chris i swear to god, are you convinced you're the only one who actually exists in this world?

Well I've been to see the JD in my time and this has happened to me. I thought about the FOI but never did it (a minor infringement of College regulations was worth the hassle). The JD never lets you have a copy of the security report which I thought was wrong.

I'd say if Bino got on to the FOI commissioner, they'd look into his case further for him.

So what does it take to get expelled from college then? Anybody got any good stories they'd care to share?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 223 ✭✭AndyWarhol

Takes a lot to get kicked out. Even things like drugs, fist-fighting, drunkeness, urinating etc. are not that bad... (probably small fine, maybe apology letter, unlikely to get rusticated [unless repeated abuses], won't get expelled)

When it comes to the PC stuff such as sexual harassment, bullying, gender discrimination, things can get messy and those in authority go round blowing horns loudly from their PC high horse. (probably big fine + apology letter, maybe rustication, unlikely you'll get expelled [although you might want to leave when they've finished humiliating you!])

Things like larceny, misappropriation of funds and cheating in exams are pretty bad. (if you're not rusticated, you'll get expelled [if you're lucky you might get a BA pass if you're caught cheating in your final year - I know one or two of these people])

Don't fu*! with the JD if things are serious, get a legal representative and bring it into a court if possible cos College can't over-ride a court decision and apply a double punishment to you + College hate going to court.

I really know too much about all this stuff...

yeah, if you're treasurer or auditor of a society and the accounts are way out (as in shopping trip to milan out) college can withhold your degree.

I think you need to shoot a member of college with a flint lock pistol, engage in serious fisticuffs or utilise a rapier with great panache.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 223 ✭✭AndyWarhol

What about that guy from the Knights of the Campanile who threw that girl off the balcony down in the Boat House at one of those crazy parties they used to have? (before the place was shut down); wasn't he expelled?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,461 ✭✭✭DrIndy

Dunno, but one of them climbed one of the flagpoles at the pav (not my one - which is personal, private property and for my climbing ONLY), his great bulk broke the bastard, tipped over with him AT THE TOP into the ground.

He got a lifetime ban from the Pav, but not expelled though.

Chucking a girl off a balcony, thats just rude, unless she deserved it ;) wondered how that situation arose???

Ha. Best word-usage-thingy ever! This calls for a look at the statues. To the library!

(Or to that link somebody posted months ago. Or we could just wait around for EduCat to tell us...)

    Meh. Oooooh... 9 times.

Yes, I see. you got CAUGHT 9 times. My hats goes off to those who did the same amount of pranks as you, but didn't get caught...!

who's this Peter H guy. Anyone got a picture? I wouldn't expel someone for fighting, unless a group hopped a guy and did serious damage. I'd expel those guys for tipping the portaloo at the ball a few years ago. I hope that person doesn't post here.

i heard that the old welfare officer (L.R.)was almost expelled because someone walked in and caught him in the act of buggery in the lgbt room.

Just curious but what would happen if Kev decided to open another account after term starts and limit his postings to college computers? The IP address would be the same for him as it would be for the rest of us so how would they find out? Would he be able to hide in amongst the crowd and escape with a more staple position on the site if he so wished, or do the powers that be have even sneakier techniques.

Well I'll put it this way, if he gets abusive like before on college computer then things can be taken to another level, like they have been in the past with other people. I spotted another of his account on feedback last night, and i didn't have his ip.

I can personally assure you that it is possible to be barred from the Pav.

  • Moderators, Science, Health & Environment Moderators Posts: 23,243 Mod ✭✭✭✭godtabh

What about your man who did the streaker in the Colours game and ran up and kicked the penalty?

Or the time he jumped up on the Deans wife's car (not the JD) and pissed all over it while the wife was in the car?

Meet him a few times and he is "normal" most of the time.

Don't think he ever got kicked out for good.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,579 ✭✭✭Pet

I was also hoping that some brain donor would see me post and decide to try out my little theory by headin into the pav and seeing if they could get away with bringing in a drunk dog and making it hump the barman and **** on his head when he finishes and then rub it in with his tail and wash it off with wee. Following that, randy the rapist dog would proceed to pull himself a pint of whisky, down it and throw up all over the bar and for the piece de resistance, set fire to the whole ****ing place while jackhammering some BOP and her boyfriend on the patio outside whilst shouting pro UCD slogans (it's a dog so I reckon it'd be in dog. I've never met a dog with good english. Either way, the above could be translated as follows: "woof woof"). I reckon you'd get barred for that. Your dog would anyway.

Wow. That's quite an elaborate imaginary situation, even moreso than me at full-babble. Kudos.

Yeah peter H could do it ,but the question is dose he want to?I mean most people would be more than happy with 9 apperances but to make it into the legendary league that 14 would be some doing. It's a big risk with this supposed bird with a d$ck as J.D but where there's awill there's way.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 425 ✭✭alantc

Is Peter H not already a legend with his nine?

PS I hear he wasn't guilty of a couple of them

What kind of bird? If it's a swan, then it is a risk as they can be aggressive, although i think i read somewhere it's ussually the female swans that are defending their young that attack people, so as you're saying it's a male bird (the presence of the d$ck led me to assume masculinity) that could be ok.

Crows seem grumpy, but robins and sparrows seem kind of chilled.

But crows are really thick-skinned, and they don't care what people think of them, and they peck the eyes out of sheep. Crows are hardcore.
