Starting up a online ordering system

Just wondering how easy it would be to set up your own mail order firm. Is it easy to set up a ordering system on the net (Web site no problem) and payment accounts (Customers can pay by credit card, laser etc). Any advice would be very welcome.

If you're looking for an easy solution then PayPal would proberly be the way to go. A more "professional" way might be using Worldpay, but I think they require you to pay x amount as a deposit first.
