i was wondering bout getting visa for the states/oz with a criminal record for possession of drugs? is it possible? ive heard if i change the name on my passport to irish version that id have no bother getting a visa? any advise?

Frankly the short answer to to talk to the embassies in question.

I wouldn't recommend trying to dodge the issue though..
