On Amazon a couple of months back I saw the coolest version of Evil Dead. It was called Evil Dead: The Book Of The Dead. The dvd cover was in the shape of the Book of the Dead. Recently, I was reading a dvd magazine that had it advertised, saying it would be available from the 22nd of August in Virgin and HMV. All excited, I went into town yesterday looking for it. HMV didn't know anything about it, either did Virgin. The guy working took a guess and said it mightn't have been passed for certificate.
Anybody know anything about it?

That came out a couple of years ago. HMV in Dublin used to carry it. Your best bet is to order it online if you can. I'm not sure if it's still in print in region 2 though.

Couple of years ago? Weird. Thanks for the info, I'll probably end up getting it online. I have a multi-region so it won't bother me if it's in region 1.

They had a copy in Game on Dawson street but that place is now closed for renovations for awhile.

Zhivago here in Galway have it for about a year, not sure if its still there, but I've seen it other places too. Try Redlight, think I have seen it there.

Worth getting online if I already have the regular dvd plus the one in the trilogy boxset?

There's no picture......I'm assuming because it's called Book of the Dead that it will be the same type of thing? I'll have to buy 'em both.

Edit: I'm blind, just noticed the second link. Looks good.

Oh, actually I was thinking of a different release. The Trilogy boxset is what I was thinking of.
