I am living between Galway city and Tuam and I am currently on MMDS digital but would lilke to move to the terrestrial/deflector aerial option if possible as it would be cheaper and I would have no monthly payments and I would be able to watch a different station on a second television .
and I am wondering what type of aerials and boosters I would require to be able to get the TV channels RTE1,RTE2,TV3,TNAG,BBC1,BBC2,UTV and CH4 .
Has anybody done this or have any experience in doings this and the costs of the aerials and boosters required

Well a UHF/VHF aerial without a booster (you shouldn't need one, unless you're in a low lying area) will only cost around 15 quid, and you'll get them from any electrical store, but you won't be able to pick up BBC1,BBC2,UTV and CH4, they're not transmitted over VHF/UHF in Ireland, unless someone near you is retransmitting them , then that aerial will pick them up. But its illegal!
