Can we have a definition of MA please paddy my man.
boxing? wrestling? judo? all MA for the purposes of this examination?
    how it makes you feel?

that's a rather subjective and philosophical question.

is paddyc behind all the elbows and knees a big thinker? possibly, a romantic?

    Kali (aka Arnis, Eskrima, FMA)

I do it for the following reasons: 1) It keeps me in tune w/ my roots as I am now living in a foreign land; 2) I always wanted to learn a weapons based system (might as well learn something that originated from my home, right?); and 3) it's a very practical fighting/SD system.

It's fun & it makes me feel good. :D

I train thai boxing, i do it to keep fit, to keep me sharp and because i enjoy it.

I also train Kali (Atienza Kali and Sayoc Kali) i train these arts because of their effectivness in all aspects of actual combat in terms of both techniques and tactics. I train in them because their method of training prepares you for the street better than any other art i've studied, i work the door of pubs and clubs in Galway and have found that their training has helped me more than anything else in protecting myself and others. And last of all i train in them because the instructors and students of both arts are the nicest and most down to earth people you could ever hope to meet and i enjoy it (especially, Sayoc's Panatukan drill).

I train in Silat....because it's the most complete system for me.I not saying it's the best art in the world but for me it's complete. There's ole yoga, healing arts ( herbs 'n' stuff ) as well as various different areas of combat, weapon's and unarmed...it's complete ( for me ) My teacher's,a close family friend and there is a great family feel...with in the school.I also still have alove for the best sport in the World Muay Thai and from time to time, pass on the art that
has sent me on the journey....that I'm on now.As i've studyed the ole stuff from siam too.All in all...........I've a great life thank's too, these art's and the friend's I've grown to love and respect along the way...Paddy i've many year's of study a head of me and one day with a group of fellow teachers (friends) will have a full time school,to teach the art's I love..Jason O Ceallaigh
