Buying A wireless Router

    Evenin',

I'm looking to buy a wireless router/pc card and I've narrowed my search down to 2 based on my requirements/budget:

    This one:
    http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.asp?sku=303770&cks=SPK

and this one (Maplins (Jervis St.) are selling this for €98 but don't have it in stock):

I'm just looking for opinions on which would be best - I have no immediate need for advanced administrative functionality, I'm just looking for a good solid/reliable router that's not going to give me too many headaches. I'll simply be hooking one machine (a laptop) upto it and connecting my DSL router (standard Creative 'Broadband Blaster' one that comes with UTV's package) to it also.

    Thanks :)

That 3com router on komplett will do the job nicely.
You shouldn't have any problems with it.
Alternatively, try the linksys WAP54g if you want something slightly cheaper.
Maplin are very expensive for wireless gear.

Thanks for the quick reply Fuzzy, I had been leaning towards the 3com one TBH and you've just made my mind up for me!

    Thanks again :)

Yep 3com are the 'secks' when it comes to networking equipment.
