I'm trying to migrate OE4 mbx files to OE6 or Outlook with no sucess.
Anybody know of a tool that might help?

The HDD that they were on is dead so no going back for an export option.

    Thanks.

is there not an option in OE6 for accessing OE4 mbx files, how did you copy the files over, if you copied them off a burned cd, copy them to a folder and make sure they are not set to read-only and try the OE6 import tool, File->import. Worth a try i suppose :o

I managed to take a full copy of the disk before it failed onto a slave disk.
The new PC has OE6 on it so I could not run OE4 from the slave disk.

I tried the import function on OE6 and it asked me to browse to the mailbox files location \windows\application data\microsoft\outlook express\mail
    This doesn't work.
By trial and error I discovered that I had to browse to one level up \windows\application data\microsoft\outlook express
    This worked fine.

    Thanks for your help.
