i bought a mexican strat about two years ago, and its a lovely guitar, it was just never set up properly. the strings buzz against the fretboard and it makes odd noises if your not touching strings, i just want it looked at by someone who knows what they're doin and just get it sorted for once and for all as i'm about to do a bit of recording. any suggestions as to where the best place to go is and how much it would cost

VERY SORRY IF THIS IS IN WRONG FORUM!!!!

The contact details are in the resources sticky.

But you should really learn how to set-up your own guitar, it's not difficult.

There are also guides to setting up your guitar for yourself in the INstrument Resources sticky. It's easy to do once you follow the guide.

If you're inexperienced don't make any truss rod adjustments! It might end in tears.

If you read up on it first and are very gradual and careful with everything there's nothing to worry about. You have to start somewhere.

That's true, there's too much scaremongering about truss rods out there. It's there for a purpose and it actually is within the realm of the mortal guitarist!

Just make sure you read read read and understand the function of the truss rod before you mess with it.

yea theres enough resources on the internet about set ups now, BUT if ur still not sure take it to musician inc. in town, they should do it for 20-30 pobably,

and when they are setting it up etc, ask Q's and see what they're doing so in the future you can do it yourself
