    Hi There,

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum. - move if appropriate please

Basically I am looking for the following cables, but in 10-15 metre lengths(hence the requirement to have them made as they are not standard)

1.This the cable that I received with my projector and I am looking for the same cable in 15 metre length. I believe the cable is called: “Mi-A to VGA & USB” (see attachment)

    2. A standard Composite Video Cable (yellow at both ends) 10-15metre length

Peats and richersounds can't do them so would anyone be able to recommend me somewhere that would do them? Preferably someone that would post them to me as I live an hour and half from Dublin.

Have tried both and no luck in relation to the

“Mi-A to VGA & USB” (see attachment)

Anyone got an idea of where to get one of these cables made?

    Help really appreciated!

Looks quite like a DVI connector to me, but don't quote me on that.

On the other side of things, I'm dubious as to whether you can run a high-resolution display over a VGA interface using cables much longer than about fifteen feet (~5m) - you're liable to get ghosting and stuff like that... you might be able to get signal boosters to do the job, but there must be a better alternative?

Just use three extension cables (with male->female connectors), all of which should be readily available for VGA and composite... I haven't seen USB extension cables that distance but I've seen several 5m ones, so presumably they are available also.

think usb might need boosting of some sort over certain lengths

    Kmb

Do you have a contact number for the AV service centre?

Thanks for all the posts, but basically I want a complete cable as I don't want to loose quality.

I really don't understand why there isn't more people doing the same thing:

Basically I want my projector on the roof and then I going to run the relevant cables to connect to my surround sound and PC at the other end of the room. This can't be done with the cables supplied and Im now looking for the same cable but in about 10-15 metres of length - just want someone to make it for me?

It is a HP projector and I might ask them - but I seriously doubt they would have a clue and therefore don't even want to waste my time and phonecall.....but Im now getting desperate.

You're going to be paying a LOT for cables that length if you dont want absolutely dire picture quality.
