    hows it goin fellow boardsies...

not sure if this is the right place but here goes..

I got a new motorola v3 phone and it comes with a usb cable. The phone hooks up to the laptop fine. There is an option to transfer files from the fone to the laptop and vice versa. Now my problem is that the phone will only accept files of a certain size i.e not full songs.

Now i am clueless when it comes to everything computer related and i was wondering does anyone know how i can take a song on my computer and, say just save part of that song as another file and then transfer it to the phone???

    Cheers for any advice

    dan

Another thumbs up for Audacity. I use it to make ringtones for my phone from MP3s as well, but not cos the phone won't allow full tracks - but because it has only 40mb of memory and no way to expand it.
