Scarlets boss Gareth Jenkins has blamed the players for the Lions' 3-0 series defeat against New Zealand.

"Woodward has been judged as a coach that failed. Maybe the quality of player in the Six Nations wasn't there.

"I was comfortable with the selection that went on the tour - we found that people we expected to perform didn't."

    What a load of sh!t.

How about tailoring his vision and plan to the Lions squad he had, instead of to the England '03 team.

in fairness a lot of big players didn't step up to the plate - O'Connell anyone? but the game plan was years behind the trend, and was badly exposed as such time and time again.

Al, will you check your PMs for one I sent you a week or two ago?

The players didn't let the side down. They all gave 100%. The problem was the system/ methods of coaching etc. The tactics used were never going to beat the All Blacks. Player choice was also a factor. S Jones should never have been playing and Johnny O'Conner should have been the first name on the teamsheet.

The players gave 100% but could not play to their strengths because of the system.
