Myself and a mate brought a Wolsely 16/60.. But my god were there some crackers at it.. will put up pics tonight.
The most gorgeous mk11 Jags, a pristine '78 Ferrari 308, and a beaut of a BMW 328cs... stand by for pics.

Any pictures of this Kermitt? Is it yours? How often do you use it? Can you give us an ownership "report" like Alfaguy's factfiles?

My family used to have an Austin Cambridge, which I think is the economy version of the Wolsely.

The 16/60 belongs to my friend its a '67.. I'll get pics up tonight. They only have it a while so still dipping the toes.
My father and I are restoring a '72 beetle tho, and I also have a chassis, gearbox and engine from a '77 beetle that i'm going to make a beach buggy out of in the spring. Petrol in the veins??!! :D

    Good luck with the restoration.

There's a guy in the Blessington club with a beetle beach buggy.

A Monday night? Whats the deal with that I wonder.

A mate of mine in work (from Blessington) says the town square is being built on BTW. He reckons the show is on the in the cattle mart at the top of the town.

The undercarriage might need a scrub after. ;)

The show last sun was in the cattle mart.. Its all tarmac and its huge. Ideal for a show. Will check out the show in sept and see whats happening.

Second monday of every month they do a run. Its a good idea, because then they don't need to "organise" or advertise it every time. People just show up.

Last time was Barretstown - about 40 cars showed up, from Frogeye Sprites to Ferraris, Rovers to Rollers, Jags to Jensens, etc. This is probably the best overall club in Ireland - friendly, varied, regular and active. The show in this thread is one of their few "static" displays - normally there's a drive and a sandwich in some remote spot, then you get home about 11. That time my friend and I chased a Morgan home over the Wicklow mountains - he in a '53 Traction Avant, me in the DS. I suspect the Morgan was toying with us, but a memorable drive nonetheless.

I'm in the process of joining - I hope my application is accepted.

PS: I haven't noticed any Fiat Spiders. They're clearly in need of some style! :)

    Cool. Nice one guys.

Have put the 12th in the diary for a potential spin. It's high time I "came out of the [classic] closet". ;)

So just turn up on the evening and follow the smell of burning oil. I like it.

Heh. In that case my baby is clearly in need of some polish...

Tailed a shiny DS for a bit yesterday afternoon - silver ZV 5577 or something.. mate of yours?!

Make sure you sign in and pay your way - it's generally a fiver, but that covers sandwiches and any other costs they incur.

I think so - did it have a sort of gold/bronze roof? That's why I like year number plates like 72Dxxx - you rarely forget them (I can't remember my friend's reg!)

Don't recall the roof... I remember the model type emblem on the right-rear was in gold writing...

    *shrug*!

Yeah, I wouldn't mind some info too... :)

Blessington car club Autumn rally is on this Sunday in Rossborough house. I'll post times up, probably 11:00am. Format is faff around for an hour or so looking at each other's cars then go on a 70 mile round-trip drive to Kildare. Judging by the quality of the annual meeting - not to be missed. You should be able to pick up application forms to join the club there too.

I'll be there - anyone else going?

    Thinking about it.

Not sure about the 11am start though - that'll depend on Saturday night. ;)

No problems just turning up on the day I take it?

    Ah - it's actually a 10:00am join for 11:00am start (sharp)

No problems turning up on the day - entry fee is €20 per car and €10 per motorcycle. I believe the 20 lids includes refreshments in the Ambassador Hotel, Kill.

They're real early birds aren't they. What's the story for those without a classic? Can we tag along in our ordinary motors?

Definitely - you may not be able to park on front of the house, though.

Give me a holler if you see me - I'm in a black Citroën DS, reg 72 D 914

I am gutted I missed this.

Got a reminder on Saturday of an anniversary mass I had promised to show for - on Sunday at 11:15.
I'd already washed and scrubbed the car.

Just saw the pics and can't believe there was another Spider there - not to mention all those other beauties.

    Grrrrr!

Great to meet you too Dave, it was quite a show. I had a great chat with a few people & hope to head down to Naas to view over a dozen Rollers (not for sale but useful to get a better feel).
Well done on the photos; top marks.

No need to ask who owns the dozen Rollers in Naas anyway ! :D

Seems like a good show, nice to see a few Merc SL's to raise the standard ! ;)

The Blessington Club seems like a nice friendly bunch with quite a diverse range of cars, always a good thing !

Here's a few from our Mercedes Club Run last Sunday !
