Ill be changing car soon and probably going to speding 10-12K on my next one. Im thinking 00-01 Civic or Colt. Are Civics still bad for males to try insure? Anyone know got opions on either car?

Would it be worth looking at jap imports? Im going for a hatchback BTW.

Go for the EK model Civic, and if you're spending that much, I'd get a 98 or 99 VTEC. These cars are much cooler than the newer ones, and they have double-wishbone suspension. I love mine and it's only a 1.4. The insurance isn't much worse than that of a Corolla, but VTEC would add on a couple of hundred.

Well a Jap would have KPH as the main reading on the dial wouldn't it? That might be useful.

I recently sold my '97 Civic 1.4i and had no problems with it in my 8 yrs of ownership.

Insurance (for me) was €450 comp. (Own ins since 1991).
