    Hi,

Can you anyone advise as to the current job market in Dublin in the media space - I have a good friend looking to move to Ireland and work in TV or Radio, preferably the former.

Skills include camerawork, editing (Avid), production and research. Catalan first language, and Spanish second, and very strong English third so I presume journalistic role out of the question.

Any idea who is hiring at the moment - what about the new TV stations coming on-stream?

Any advise on the market as it stands currently much appreciated.

    M.

City channel and channel 6 are already mostly staffed as far as i know. Best option is to contact tv3 with those qualifications. They pay SHIIIITTTTTEEE but at least its a start. Forget about RTE(Closed Shop Forever) and as for freelance, well the maket is flooded here already with people who can multiskill on Avid/Final Cut/Media 100Camera and production. Best of luck, they will need it!
