Shortstack

Tough to get away from jacks in a cash game with a flop like that. I may have re-raised pre-flop to make sure it is heads up or to take it down there and then. You can't really fault people for calling behind you getting those odds.

I would very rarely advise reraising with JJ in a cash game but with a stack like that you are probably better off.

Brave stuff by Mayo007 calling $7 dollars with just 8 10. I can only imagine he was thinking if he was going to post $3 he might as well go another $7. If you had re-raised another $20/$30 I can't see how he could call.

Not really that brave there was already $35 in the pot so he was getting 5:1 plus the implied odds that he hits a big hand. Auto call with any hand. Thats the problem with flat calling, it gave everyone odds to call and JJ is not the best 4 handed.

Especially as Snapper has a short stack here he should have re-raised. Usually though as HJ says re-raising with JJ is not a good play but taking into account all the variables here it is probably the only play unless you are happy to play for a set and fold if you miss.
