There's a fashion degree course in NCAD. ALso one in Limerick, I think.

There's the Grafton Academy of Fashion. There's also a FAS course in Dublin that's to do with cutting fabric or something like that which would probably lead on to fashion.

Then there's a PLC course in Sallynoggin I think in Costume.

Well check out NCAD open days. I went to the fashion lecture and it looked deadly! But it also made me realise that you have to be very enthuiastic abuot fashion and willing to work extremely hard! My love of handbags didn't do it that much for me now. And NCAD is a tough college to get into!!

No fashion courses in DLIADT. They're more film based or then there's fine art, graphic design etc.

Well do you have a portfoilio started? If not it'd be a good idea to do a portfolio course or get some help with the portfolio. I've done one, so if you a bit of help of what to put in it, PM me and I'll try and help you. I know DLIADT do summer portfolio preparation courses. And then there's PLC courses like Colaiste Dhulaigh in Coolock.

Also if you could get some work experience with a designer or even doing work experience with a display team in a department store.

    Here's a link to Limerick's course. http://www.lit.ie/Departments/ArtDesign/DipFashion.html

Or would you go further afield to England and study at London College of Fashion?? This place is meant to be amazing!!!! And at this college, because there's course in Photography and Make-up, you get to make really good contacts, get people to photograph yuor work and showcase at fashion shows they hold at the college. And they always get checked out by people in the business.

Here's a linkage to other linkages of courses in Dublin.
