    Tyrone 1-10. Dublin 0-11.

    A scrapppy game I'd say.

I'd love to stay and chat about this, but I've got a match to go to! :)

    Come on the Dubs.

Just do your best to avoid The Herald during the Championship, its a joke. Propaganda like theirs is why other counties hate the Dubs.

Not sure how people are thinking Dublin can win, this Tyrone team will destroy them

Super game, the Dubs were awful in the second half, and got very lucky to get the two late points.

A great advertisement for the sport.

was the ref on the payroll or what?

Very good game, I really enjoyed it. Thought it would be a negative game with a lot of fouling, off-the-ball stuff, pulling and dragging etc. but there were some tremendous scores in it. **** hot goal by Mulligan, even better than Brenda-Jer O' Sullivan's one for Cork last Sunday. Stephen 'O Neill got a couple of brilliant points too.
Tyrone will probably feel they let it slip though, they were two points up with a couple of minutes to go and wasted a few scorable chances.
Full credit to the Dubs for having the character to draw level though.

What a match and they get to do it all again. Now, if I can only convince my mother and father to see what is really important and postpone their 50th Wedding Anniversary celebrations in Roscommon on August 27th that they have been preparing for months, I'll be able to go to the replay. Some people have no consideration. :)

Great game... but did anyone else notice the section on the upper Hogan that was empty?
Must have been at least 250 / 300 seats in a section nearest the Canal End.
By the time the match started, a handful of people moved into them, but it looked weird... was there a feck-up in ticket allocation or something?
Seemed a shame given that some people missed out on tickets...

As usual, the GAA are the winners with a replay... I think they should scrap replays and just go for extra time. They're just unheard of in sport these days.
I wonder if demand for tickets will be the same in two weeks time?

Think the score was pretty much what the teams deserved, Tyrone to win the replay.

But ANOTHER replay for Tyrone? Jaysis, how do they keep going, there was no sign of the expected tiredness coming through from Tyrone towards the end of the match, it was Dublin who seemed dead on their feet.

McMenamin was invaluble for Tyrone, the game could have went a different way if it wasnt for him.

I'd imagine the scramble for tickets will be more hectic than this game.

The streaker was just brilliant, don't think I've laughed so much in a long time. "He's behind you!!!"

Seemingly, Tyrone clubs sent back 3,000 tickets in the last 24/48hrs. I guess they weren't all sold. These must have been tyrone seats since they were all together. Dublin took their full allocation.

He came on during one of the songs by "Rig the Jig" (the half time entertainment irish band)... did anyone else notice that one of the guys in the band said after the tune "you could have waited to clap and cheer after the song"... seemingly unaware the streaker ran behind them and caused all the noise!

Fair play to the streaker.... he didnt even have any footware! That's hardcore.... and must have been hard side-footing the stewerds :D

There is extra time if the second match finishes level, but never on a first day's drawn game. You may remember Dublin and Meath playing 4 games in 1991 in just the first round of the Leinster Championship.

It is a pity that replays are "unheard of" in other sports. They should have them. In soccer, although they may enjoy the little bit of drama it brings, everyone hates a penalty shoot-out as a way of settling a game. It basically makes all that has gone before meaningless. They scrapped replays in the FA Cup Final a few years back, which was a bad move. Even when they did have them they were held on a Wednesday night in somewhere like Villa Park or Maine Road, basically demoting the glamour tie of the year to something like a midweek lower division league game. They should have replays and with all the glamour and pomp and ceremony of the first day, as a game like that deserves. So, long live the replay.

Usually there is a sense of anti-climax at the end of a drawn game, but yesterday coming out of Croke Park there was a certain buzz in the air, after such a good game and not the normal dampened down atmosphere that the end of a drawn match usually has. The replay is something to look forward to. It's a pity that I can't go. :(

I'm a dub fan and was pretty happy with the draw. i expected tyrone to have the stronger second half. i think the dub defense was very weak, the tyrone forwards seemed to be able to dance their way through (great goal). But we had a few wides and if we had of one by a point or two, i don't think it would have been grossly unfair to tyrone. fingers crossed for the reply, another day out in the sun hopefully.

I think he's to inconsistent with his placed balls think he missed 2 45's??? And some easy scores. I think the Dubs lack a consistent free taker and think that will be their downfall in the replay altho i'd love to see them win the all ireland i dont think thats gonna happen :)

The streaker wasn't watching his back. He was too busy taking the adjulation from the Cusack Stand crowd. The steward did a lovely rugby tackle from behind, you'd have to admit. There was no escape from it. :)

Now why can't we ever get any female streakers in Croke Park? :)

The Dublin and Tyrone teams parade behind the Artane Band and past the Dublin fans on Hill16, as seen from my seat in the Upper Hogan Stand.

I'm in there somewhere, end row of the Cusack, four rows up from the pitch.

Tyrones keeper is a awful muppet, should be done for incitement IMO. , if he had of behaved like that in a soccer or rugby match there would have been blue murder...

oh but he was only giving the fingers to the dubs on the hill, we probably deserved it

Mossy Quinn did a fine job from frees on Saturday and is definitely Dublin's best free taker in a while.

You try taking frees from the distance and angle he was taking them and see if you can knock over any. And then imagine trying it with 80,000 people watching. Just look at how the pressure got to Ross Munnelly, a great footballer, the week before.

Dublin are lucky to have Mossy.

Unfortunately he was that sheight in the first half, he never got to play any of the second half :D:D
