    Just a quick question here.
    Can anyone tell me what exactly a REM drive is?

    No definitely REM.
    I've seen it on a few PC specs in shops. e.g HP 250 Gb Hard drive, 60 Gb REM drive

    I would think, given the context that it is possibly an abbreviation of removable, so it is possible to take the drive out of the computer, i'm not absolutely sure on the subject though

    That would make sense alright. I've also seen it mentioned with regards to laptops so its probably more associated with them. Pretty handy if you could transfer a hard drive between a laptop and a PC, as easily as that.
