    Looking for the cheapest small portable 2.5" HDD that runs off USB 2.0 with no adapter.
    Somewhere that takes credit card and thats reliable (aka not Jes/eBay)

    i think with 2.5 external you need two USB ports one for data and the other to supply the power.

    doesn't ebay take paypal for like 99% of it's transactions? it's just like using a credit card but you use a middle man so to speak.

    Only on some drives, usually the larger capacities, 60-80gbs and the faster drives 7,200 etc. The smaller 20-40gb and lower 4,200 drives are usually fine from one USB port. Of course it depends if your USB port supplies enough power. Not all of them do.
