    Not sure!
Have you tried the lonely planet thorn three (another forum)
Should find answer there, or maybe ask the question on it.

    Good luck!

I think the best way is via Bangkok..
Get a pick-up to Piopet (border) and bus Aranyaprathet (Thai side of borer) to Bangkok..
    It's a very unplesant journey.. It took us nearly 8hrs .. 150kms..

Alternatively, if you're not pushed for time, you could head from Siem Reap to Battambang (by boat or road) and then to Trat in Thailand via the Pailin crossing and on to Bangkok. Or else you could go to Koh Chang which is pretty nice.

Battambang and Trat are both nice cities to spend a couple of days, and the Pailin crossing is relatively quiet and hassle-free compared to what I've heard about Poipet / Aranyaprathet.

    Border crossings

Yeah I know the roads out here are unreal! And then theres the buses which play the cambodian music/soap re-runs on the tv...

What about a flight down to Koh Samui from Siem Reap? anyone have any idea price wise? or airlines that do cheap flights out here?

I just booked flights Bangkok to Phuket with air asia www.airasia.com . Only cost €15 inc taxes so I'd say your best bet is to make your way to Bangkok and fly from there.

Thanks for all the replies guys!
Im here on koh tao safe and sound...phew!
I have never ever been on a road as bad as the one from siem reap to poipet what an experience!

What i did in the end was hire a taxi from siem reap to poipet for $35 and the bus from Aranyaprathet to Bangkok by train ($1) and Bangkok to Chumpon ($16) by sleeper train incl ferry to koh tao... Now to the pub... :)
