Daley didnt look tired. He was using the ropes to balance him to resist Berik making him post and stopping him finishing the job.

    Thats crap man!!

He should'int have been using the ropes for added ballance to his striking in a sport fight like that!!

Would it be OK then if he was hanging onto the ropes while driving knees into the other guy??

Its not crap. Its the truth. I dont agree with fighters using the ropes for ground and pound. But Daley wasn't tired. Wanderlei does the same when he stomps heads.

You didnt seem to understand why he was using the ropes (as in to prevent him having to post continually due to Berik's constant squirming/bridging) so I explained.

    Geez Louise.

My comment on him being tired was me messin'.

But I don't care why! He was using the ropes to give him an unfair advantage over his opponent! And that is C R A P !!!

And my names not Louise  Thats my sister :p:D

Well Paul whether its an unfair advantage depends on the rules and more importantly how the rules are enforced.

In the UFC stacking someone against the cage and pounding them is part of the game. The guy wasnt going to escape. Daley had mount. I dont think it made a huge difference.

The guy was'int getting out of the mount. But Daley stopped missing his head when he was holding the ropes.

It's a natural thing to want to use whatever is available to you. I understand the stacking against the ring in UFC cause thats like pushing against the floor.

But hanging onto the ropes is wrong in sport AFAIC as it gives you an artifical support.
