you can get the 3month visa extended to a maximum 12 months as long as u can prove u have the funds.

I'm back and year now and I still wanna go back as much as the day I left

I heard that Australia was now offering a 2-year WHV in order to 'compete' with New Zealand's plans to do likewise.

Might be worth doing some research on this.

I too was in Oz last year on a WHV.
I plan on going back again sometime.........for a holiday! :)

If you previously had a WHV for Oz and you completed 3 months work in the farming and crop, fruit picking industries then you are entitled to a second WHV.

Im back home 6 months and am thinking about heading back over, thankfully i have relations living there and i am entitled to sponsorship.

There's an expo later this year in the RDS on all things 'working in Oz' - http://www.workingdownunder.com.

I'm thinking of heading off to Oz in January on a working visa. Might stop off in Tailand and fit in some volunteer work first. Anyone have any good advice about the latter? Anyone planning a similar trip and fancy meeting up?

You could pop over to Cambodia and teach English for a bit. its a life saver for them if they can speak english and when you see how poor they are, you'll realise how good a thing you'll have done for them. They are so nice and friendly too considering what they through
