    Hi, looking for a place that sells good Mozzarella cheese for homemade pizzas. The best I've found so far is Dunnes Stores own brand which is a grade 2 as opposed to most others which are grade 1. Wondering if there is anywhere to get a higher grade?


    Looking to recreate that NY pizza taste..........Yum

    hi my advice is to buy Bernadette O Sheas book Pizza Defined and work on the dough, use only fresh yeast( you can cut in to little pieces and freeze) :rolleyes: she has a great sauce and finally get some stone baking sheets to cook on. You do this and you will beat New York pizza hands down and maybe get close to good a good Italian one

    That book has seemingly been out of print for years... you set me on the hunt for a good homemade pizza book though and, consequently, I decided to buy Pizza Napolitana - I hope it's as good as your book!

    P.S. if you know anywhere in town that sells the book, let me know.

    great to hear you were motivated and best of luck with the pizza making. you may come across Bernadettes book in the liberary in which case its worth looking at the first couple of chapters where she explains in great detail about stretching the dough. its also worth using the sponge method for the dough and you will get fresh yeast in the Yeast Co. an old shop opposite Trinity College.
