    Hi
I have a D-Link DWL_2000AP+ Access point. My problem is I just can't connect to it at all. Can't even dial into it. Now I no it's not my laptop as when I go up to my friends house with it, and it sees his wireless connection.

Ok this is my set up. I have a Zylex Prestige 600 modem which connects into Corega FSW-5PM. Now I have taken the switch out of setup and just connected my D-link directly to modem. But still no joy.

Are you actually able to have a wireless connection to the AP? Ie from your laptop to the access point?

Nope. I even hard wired it to access point still no joy. My mate was using this access point with no problems.

When you're hard wired make sure you're wired ip config on the laptop is 192.168.0.2 subnet 255.255.255.0. Then try to connect to the config webpage.

Had no joy with D-link. So I went out and bought a Netgear WG602. Works fine. So there must be something up with the D-link. Thanks for all your help :D
