Well done to all 8 teams who played this weekend for 4 great games. Here's hoping the games next weekend are just as entertaining.

I really enjoyed the Galway-Cork game in particular. The Galway team will be one to watch in the future.

Yep, it and the Derry vs. Laois game were good, close games.

Tyrone v Monaghan was a good one yesterday too.

First half was very good. Second half Monaghan lost their way and Tyrone's experience showed.

One point in 35 minutes, which I think was their strike rate, was very poor from the Monaghan forwards, some of whom are extremely talented.

Definitely a team to watch out for over the next few years. Division one football next year will help them no end.

Great day to be a Cork woman, superb football from every player on the field(excluding O Dwyer but everyone has an off day!) Well done to the lads, bring on Kerry.

    UP THE REBELS!!

Two good games, with the first being the better. I was hoping Mayo would do the job, but hopefully Cork can take them, though I was hoping Galway would take Cork. Anyway, next up, Dublin v Tyrone on Saturday. Come on the Dubs.

Mayo certainly went a long way to answering their critics.

Yes, but the thing they really want is that All-Ireland title. It's been 54 years now since their last one. They are the county out there that most want to win the All-Ireland. There will be huge celebrations when they do. It may take a return of John O'Mahoney to do it.

Maughan was given a three year contract last year though so it looks like he's not going anywhere.

Austin O'Malley made a joke of Maughan not picking him earlier in the championship yesterday.

He may have a contract, but that has never guaranteed a manager a full term. There is apparently a lot of discontent with him in Mayo.

The first game was a very good game. The second wasn't enjoyable because it was over just after half time.
