Have been searching for a PDA with 802.11G wireless connectivity on board. Spoke to HP in the States and none of their Ipaqs has it. Had a look at the Dell website and didn't see one there.

Has anyone seen anything like this around?

Why do ye want wireless-G in a PDA??

Even -B is over kill: the most a PDA can store atm is just over 2GB, most web connections are less than 2Mbps; theres no point in having -G.

none shipping with 802.11g built in i've seen so far only 802.11b... one ODM demoed a device earlier in the year they said had 802.11g in it but they just manufacture devices for other companies who would brand and supply it... no announcements about it being available yet...

there is a LinkSys CF 802.11g card available with Pocket PC Drivers, but haven't heard of any 802.11g SD(IO) cards as yet...

Palm make one but only compatible with the Tungsten E2, T5, T3 or Zire 72...

be aware it isn't the most battery friendly of accessories...

    Thank you for the replies.

I guess that my only option is to get a wireless card.

I will be using the wireless card on the Ipaq for a number of things - email, internet, internet radio (if it works), but mainly for Skype. Have found Skype very useful and saved a lot of money on overseas calls.

Only restriction is that I am not always sitting at my PC and miss calls. Have thought about going dect Skype but 73 sterling is a wee bit to high where with the Ipaq I could do a loy more with the Ipaq.

    Thanks again
