I have 2-3 weeks holidays coming to me in at the start of october and don't want to spend my time arsing around the house.
Thinking about a short trip around the world, maybe 3 stops in about 14 days.
Took a look at the usit site for some ideas, could anyone point be towards other sites that specialise in trips like this.

So far I'm leaning towards Dublin-Some america city-NZ-AUS-Dublin
    or
    Dublin-Some Asian city-Aus/NZ- Some American city-Dublin

As you can see I'm really not to sure of any particular city i want to see. Any advice would be great.

trail finders in Dublin are brilliant.Ask for their brochures and they'll send them out to you free of charge-great ideas for around the world trips.

I second gumboot's recommendations for trailfinders. We could not find cheaper for flights/hotels etc and they were very helpfull.

On another note 2/3 weeks to go on a RTW trip. Would you not prefer to go say to the states or somewhere. You won't have much time in 2/3 weeks.

    Couldn't aggree more.

Have you traveled much already? Attempting to see a US/Asian city and then Autralia and New Zealand in that kind of timeframe is madness. You couldn't possible do any justice to them whatsoever in 2/3 weeks.

Why not just focus on the States or Asia alone? 3 weeks would be enough time to see 4 or 5 place in the States reasonably or perhaps 3 or 4 in Asia.

I have seen Canada already and part of the east coast of USA. I know the time frame is very short. was only thinking about spending a couple of days in each place. That doesn't give me much time I know.
Another option I have been thinking about is flying to the west cost of USA, renting a car and drving for 2 weeks.
Things are kinda up in the air right now, will make a decision when I come back england at the end of august.

I agree..........you're time-frame is too short for such a trip............you would be 'selling yourself short'.

Your 'west coast USA plan' sounds better. I spent a few days in L.A on my way home from Oz/NZ/Cook Islands last year, and would agree that a few days in one place doesn't do (most!) of them justice.

I you do still go ahead with your plan, Re: NZ :- avoid Auckland - a sprawling metropolis with little to see. Christchurch is the nicest city in NZ by far - I stayed there for 2 months. :)

I like this idea way more, would def work out cheaper with a lot less time pressure and way more enjoyment.

From San Francisco down along the coast to LA and then onto Vegas would be quite an adventure! Hire a big ass caddy and hit the road :D

(Or 3 weeks would be barely enough time to make something of NZ and I'd agree with Silvera, head straight for the south island and explore.)
