    Right im planning to head of to London if I cant get some IT work in Cork.
    Its pretty slow down here at the mo put it is picking up, however there is no way in hell I am going to work in Dublin (these reason have been aired in another thread ).

    So London appears to be the best choice for a budding IT graduates like me at the moment.

    Thing is, alot of job sites state UCAS requirments which is the English LC system.
    Does anybody know the Irish equivilent of it e.g.
    300 = 20 UCAS
    400 = 25 UCAS

    or something like that!

    Any other advice about London would be good too. ;)

    Interested as to why you don't want to work in Dublin but want to work in London. As far as I'm concerned all the problems with Dublin are magnified a hundred times over in London.

    Cause its full of dubliners. :p;)

    Seriously though just think London would appeal to me more. There seems to be much more oppertunities there then here in Ireland and if I wasnt working in my native city then id prefer to work abroad and get a much better life long experience in the mean time. Plus Arsenal are there too! :)
    Not really there's a far better transport network in London.

    EDIT: Snap! Thats definately true and one of the many other reason that London appeals to me more then Dublin but I dont want to drag this thread into a Dublin Vs Rest of Ireland discussion, there is plenty of room for that in after hours.

    Anyway any help with regard those pesky UCAS points or good pointers for moving?

    www.ucas.ac.uk has a points calcuator somewhere. Usually they don't really matter. I applied to many companies this year that required specific points which I did not have, got offers / interviews

    being a massive city it certainly shares it ceratinly has its problems that all large cities have, however, imnot sure what problems that it really shares with Dublin.

    that being said, i have no idea what a UCAS is :)

    you might try contacting stu69. he is an IT manager in london and may be able to give you some advice
