I needed to use the plug board (that I use for my computer) last night for something else so I went to switch it all off, but before the computer had fully shut down I accidentally plugged it out.

When I went to reconnect it all up the computer didnt turn on.

Any ideas on what I might have done and how to fix it?

Try reseatting everything inside. Find out where the cmos jumper is and jumper the board. If still no luck, try removing all non essentials so your down to mem/proc/psu/graphics card. If same remove mem and see do u get a beep code if not then the maybe proc/mbb/power prob.

When you say it doesn't turn on, you mean it physically wont power up at all, even too the bios?
I find it stange that jsut plugging it out before shut down could do this. Perhaps your PC had a surge or something

Try a spare power box, that should help you figure out if it was a surge... (power supply is usally the first to go if that's the case)

In the process stip down the internals to the bare essentials as mentioned previously, if it works add the components back one by one and invest in a good surge protector ;)
