    ...all my life.

Thought I was the only one who remembered the Future Sound of London, the Orb, 808 State, Orbital, Inner City, Model 500 etc. etc. etc. Where ye all been hiding?

And has anyone else heard Model 500's 'I Wanna Be There'? Pure genius.

been here and elsewhere doing my thing mate! model 500 - the flow! there's a tune....

guy called geralds solo stuff post-808 state kicked ass as well, as did gldie's timeless and photek's modus operandi, all albums to track down!

    peace!

    photek's modus operandi

Hmmm. Heard of them but have nothing by them. Might take up that recommendation and track this one down.

Yeah, its like my soundtrack 94 - 99.
Orbital, there's a band that went from so good to utter crap
in such a short space of time it was unbelievable!

I wouldnt have thought they went crap, just nowhere near what they were in the good ol days. It was after Insides imo that they did go downhill, but there are some good tracks on the albums that followed, just nothing spectacular.

Yeah, i thought they went downhill from Snivelisation onward ,
the breaks mix of doctor who was a low point for them,
I guess when you look up to something so highly if they slip
even a little then its easy to diss them.

They had the best live shows i think i've seen of any band in
    any genre

I actually like the Doctor Who mix, think because it reminds me of being a kid though watching Doctor Who. I can see where you are coming from with Snivilisation being the stopping point as such, I look on that album as being sort of the last of the old Orbital. Insides was a totally new sound which I really like, except for the last two tracks on the album, I never listen to them.

Yeah, they have a fantastic live show. Only saw them once in '96 in the Point. Its funny that night they were supporting Carl Cox - I'll never forget the shock of that at the time.

i think the blue album was a bit of a return to form for them, it's a great album in my opinion and has loads of old 'orbitally' bits. the 2 before that weren't great, bar funny break and nothing left
