Hello.. I'm new here and ThankGod I found this forum! I'm going to Trinity in a year to study Early and Modern Irish or Modern Irish and Italian! I know everything about the degree courses etc so that is not the problem!

Me and my mom went to Dublin a week ago and were there for about three days. We had a good look around and visited the college(It's a little bigger than I thought!)! I know Dublin fairly well and am never afraid to ask someone for help to find anything. But the size of the college made me a bit confused. Where do I go when I arrive? What is it like living on-campus(to me it seems like it will be much better at Trinity Hall)?

    Please help! :(

wait until you get your fresher's pack, that explains a lot of the questions above (1st week in september) and it gives you a map. alternatively a map can be found online on the tcd.ie website. http://www.tcd.ie/Maps/
if your TSM though your lectures will primarily be in the arts block (just off nassau street), also don't forget to come to freshers week/ starts a week before lectures begin. all the societies/ the student union and the sports club will be there aswell as a lot of information on student services such as the health service/ counselling/ and the chaplaincy. http://www.tcd.ie/Services/Student/

Don't be afraid about coming to Dublin- seems you know it better than most.

You'll get a letter telling you when you have to register for your course, that should be in the Exam Hall in Front Sq. This will be during freshers' week, so there will be loads of people out in front square tyring to get you to join their society.

I have never lived on campus or in halls however having stayed in both I'd say it's down to personal preference
