Is it possible to output a recorded program from a Sky Digibox to a PC and burn it to DVD ?

I don't have a VCR in the house anymore and a mate of mine without Sky was wanting a look at some eposides of Overhaulin...

    Thanks !

Yep, just connect the s-video and audio to a decent video capture card in your PC. The best capture would be to use an RGB card like sweetspot, but if you only want a couple of caps then a cheap s-video (or even composite) capture card would be fine.

Bear in mind the raw data is recorded onto the hard drive so needs to be unencrypted before you can watch it so RGB is the best available

Of course BBC, ITV3, Men&Motors, Performance, Reality, most radio channels etc, will record direct to PC hard Disk for CD/DVD with a Satellite PC card. "ProgDVB" program rather than the supplied SW lets me add "plugins" to stream the MPEG2 / MP2 TV/Radio arround my LAN. Though a old 11Mbps WiFi is too slow, a 22Mbps is fast enough (just). 10M LAN cable does just about work too. 100MBits LAN cable and 54Mbit WiFi allows other users to play Network games and steam their MP3 libries too.
