Anyone have any idea how much a surf board would cost? Not looking for a top of the range model just your basic starter board.Any suggestions would be helpful,

    Thanks

If your just starting, you would be better of gettng something like a mini mal, or possibly a long(ish) board (don't go over 8-foot!)
A board about 7'6" - 7'8" would be a good idea...easy to start off on but small enough that you can use them for a while (i.e when you get better).

As regards prices...you could possibly check the buy and sell or something similar (noticeboard ina local outdoor shop?) for a secopnd hand one. Thats probably where you get the bes deals, and the boards are normally in good enough condition.
