No you don't for Skydsl, I have the thing working perfect on Telecom 2d at 8° west. It is very hard to Align to Eurobird at 33° east without a meter. Well they are all hard to align without the meter. I'd advise as a Skydsl subscriber to use the Telecom 2d satellite at 8° west. Telecom 2D has a bigger footprint over Ireland.
Anyway the satellite forum is best suited to this.

I can always watch one station on it called Syria, its FTA and it is the only station i can watch on the Telecom 2D satellite. Lyngsat should have frequencies. The DVB card includes a DVB tv software that will allow you to watch any unencrypted channels on any satellite. I used it for hotbird before ever installing Skydsl (while waiting for my satellite meter)
