What's the besttelly you can get for under €1000? I have read on another thread that the LCD's are going to go down a good bit in price around Christmas. Maybe I should get a crap one like the 21" combi in dunnes for €200 and wait?

I think the biggest LCD that €1000 will buy would be best because I'm moving into an apartment and it would be best if the telly didn't stick out a mile at the back. But if there are any non-LCD tellies that have a small enough footprint then they would be great too.

I saw that lidl or aldi had some big plasma ones a while ago but unfortunately, I can't go over a thousand.

I was looking at this one but apparently it displays everything in widescreen format so normal broadcasts get stretched sideways which'd do my head in.

So. What is the best telly going for under a grand? (or should I wait?)

28" widescreen mitsubishi is widely available for about €250 until the 28" and up LCD panels drop to €500 or less.....so I bought one at christmas.
