wireless router problem

    i have esat bt broadband , but have just got an eircom netopia wireless router. the problem is that my computer dell 3000 the ethernet port is not working is there any other way to hook them up like connect netopia modem to bt modem via ethernet cable ?? or is there a way of getting ethernet port to work as this is the first time i've used it (does it need to be turned on ?)??

    Has the ethernet port ever worked do you know? Have you checked the device manager to see what it its saying about it?
