I've played it a few times (being from near there originally) and done ok, the problem being that you need a decent bankroll to tackle it properly. AFAIR, the game starts as a 1/2 Pot-limit/No-limit game i.e. you have the option of betting up to the size of the pot, or moving all-in. Yep, crazy! Minimum buy-in is 100, but most people buy in for at least 400. As the night goes on, it usually changes to a 5/5 game. That's as big as I've played there, but I think it goes higher as the "high-rollers" come in. When I say high-rollers, I mean that they have money, not that they can play.

There are a few really good regulars there, though, particularly the two Aussies who posted here a few weeks back. But other than a select few, the standard is poor. "Weak Ace/Any-two" players are common, so prepare to be outdrawn regularly. Technically good poker is really lacking, e.g. pot-odds dont exist for most.

I'm not sure if it's on every night, but the weekend nights are popular. Maybe one of the Aussies will post here with more details.
