Serious amp power

I was going through the pictures I've taken from gigs today and found one from when SunnO))) played Whelans. Here is a shot of the amps they were using for their gig, I couldn't even get them all in shot! Needless to say they were loud. Two guitarists with two Sunn amp heads and four cabs each and a guy with two Moog synths powered by two huge Ampeg bass amps with two 8x10 cabs!

I played there last year and there was barely enough room on the stage for two 1x12 guitar amps, a bass amp and a drum kit. They must wee fellas in Sunn

Impressive although two full stacks for each guitarist seems a tad excessive, especially in a venue the size of Whelans. That said I just stuck the bands name into google to see if I could find any live shots and they look f**kin nuts. They're dressed like druids or something. I must admit I'm curious to hear what they sound like.

They sound like this (sample from their website). And no drummer Doc. Bear in mind they started out as a tribute to Earth. But they're heavier (just about).
