i'd strongly suggest against buying a skateboard from argos, i know G1 are expensive but the quality will be much better and you'll be able to ollie with a board from G1 but with something from argos i'd doubt it would just skate properly.

there's also a lot of sites that will build a complete board (deck, wheels, trucks, bearings, etc) for you that would probably be cheaper than G1.

Oh god don't buy from argos, please. It will hold you back from getting any bit good at the sport.
My suggestion is invest in a good board. By spending a good amount of money on a board, it will give you the incintive to try hard and get good at the sport.

Well there is no way i can get €150 euro! So i need a cheap board for around €50-€60 euro!

Also, avoid Super Valu. They had generic unbranded boards for about 25 quid in the Dungloe branch, and it looked like you'd snap it the first time you stood on it....

I'll see if I can dig up an old deck for you I'll PM you if one of us has one knocking about. Then you just need trucks and wheels ...still tough on a budget.
And no this isn't Gay Byrne and there isn't one for everyone in the audience!!

Most of us aren't 14 and hence have the financial means to buy a board ourselves, I think ;)

If u go into that skate shop in dublin they have a big bin full of decks for like 50bucks, i even saw some world industry decks in there  . Okay they dont have trucks ect, but its a good start. Save a little more and u will have a setup :).

skateing dragon is very immature. She agreed to buy a set-up off me for €50, agreed on a time and place in town. I went in she didn't turn up. Then went on MSN when I got home and asked her why she didn't turn up, she blocked me. Then rang her up and she answered and then turned off her mobile. She has since unblocked me but doesn't speak to me.
I just think this is a very childish thing to do. An explanation would be nice, but it seems she is too immature to give one.

Hmm, that is very lame  , how old was she? Thats what u get for trying to help sum1 out  . Dragon from your attitude i think we can safely say u should not skate :) .

Considering he can type a full sentance with capital letters and punctuation, I'm going to be slightly more inclined to believe him, and take this quote from his first post:

"Then went on MSN when I got home and asked her why she didn't turn up, she blocked me. "

So, prior to him phoning you, he had attempted to talk to you, and you retaliated using the block option which MSN provides, which is usually used as a crutch by those attempting to escape from something on the internet

Also, as with any buy/sell agreement, the burden is on the person who doesn't show up. It was your responsibility to let -him- know why you didn't turn up, not block all attempts by him to contact you
