Well I thought that they were aware of being skangers anyway... and dare I say, proud of it?

    Boardsee -nice editing

It's just one of those questions, but I would have to say they do know it considering that they seem really proud of what they do........when someone calls them a skanger there's really no reaction.I really don't want to know.Hopefully they will all be extinct in the next few years.
We shouldn't use an A-bomb cause I hear they're immune to that......must be in the same league as rats and cockroaches!

Has anyone noticed that they are starting to change, as in the typical 90's Skanger wore the 501's, Ben Sherman and Air max runners. Now we have these kind of metrosexual skangers, you know the ones pink t shirts with knob head haircut. Well at least theres a sign of evolution

Unlikely because if they could distinguish between crazy and not they would act sane so they'd be accepted. Just like sane people can decide to act insane for whatever reason. Then again who knows.

Do skangers know they're skangers? Skangers don't know anything. I think that's what being a skanger is about.

If a skanger falls and nobody is around to hear it, does the skanger make a noise?

    Think about it...

Why not go down the local sham hole and ask one.

If they knew they were skangers, perhaps then they could stop, take a look at themselves and say, "Maybe this whole skanger thing isn't working out..." and promptly change their ways?

Exactly. They all leave school at 15 and consequently can't tell the difference between "their" and "they're".

The guy who started this topic really shows his level of ignorance with his bad grammar, which is almost on a par with that of a skanger, therefore making him a hypocrite.

    Think about it...

    /lone skanger falls. THUD./

"F#cks sake. Me bleedin' head. Jeysus, me FUBU jeans, them's brand new!"

/another skanger emerges, 'cause they're never really alone./

"Anto, Anto bud, Story? You right, man? Jeysus, yer FUBUs, Anto. F#ck's sake, bud, them's brand new. Ah, dat's a bleedin' shame, dat is."

/skanger mot with three kids in pram pushes by/

Kid in Pram: "F#ckin' loser...Ma, Ma, MA, look at dat f#ckin' loser, Ma!"
Ma: "Shut yer f#ckin' trap. Don't be talkin' about yer f#ckin' Da like dat, right?"

added to the 8 or so pages on the "scumbag" threads, and god knows how many other threads there have been.

I feel awful sorry for the sad bastards who are so worried/obsessed about them.

Just because someone replies to the topic, how can it be considered an "obsession"?? Your reply in this "skanger" thread has counted towards the post count - are you obsessed too?

I didn't know that grammar is what defines a skanger. How did you come to believe that?

It might be helpful if you'd publish a list of topics you approve of, and we could stick to those.

Where did i say it defines it? Eh, I didn't. I implied it's a standard trait in skangars. Never said it defines them. Read my post a bit slower next time.

i dont care what people talk about. Its just annoying and pointless starting a new thread about something when it is already covered in a thread that is still on the first page.

    Lol :D
I apologise for my grammer spelling mistakes, people. I was tired ;)

People are interested not fascinated with skangers because they`re like a breed of their own, and were trying to understand their disturbing way of going on.

i wasnt implying you were obsessed just by replying. More by starting a thread on them and the people who give in depth info about them.

Cool. Well I didn't start this topic or give any in depth info on them, so I guess you're not referring to me.

What you said was that his grammar puts him on a par with a skanger and that makes him a hyprocrite. Would you like to clarify in what way it puts him on a par with a skanger and in what way it makes him a hyprocrite?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 111 ✭✭Funk Daddy

Skangers have bad grammar - and he has bad grammar. Bad grammar is a known skanger trait, yet he starts a topic slagging off someone he shares a common trait with.

Again - where did I say bad grammar "defines" a skanger?

Here's an analogy for you: It's would be like me slagging off someone in a wheelchair, when I have rickets. I'm not EXACTLY in a wheelchair, but I share a common trait - bolloxed legs.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 314 ✭✭gregos

If you followed that reasoning, you couldn't criticise anyone you shared a trait with. That would include all human beings. It's flawed logic.

Not really. I'm referring to a trait that's mainly common in skangers due to the fact that they eitehr left school when they were 15 or didn't pay attention in English class - therefore they possess a trait which reflects ignorance. I find it amusing that the thread starter would slag skangers, when his grammar is also sh*t.

You're trying to generalise my reference, when I was being very specific.

Need another analogy? It would be like me slagging off someone who lives in a caravan, if I lived in a coucil flat.

If skangers knew they were skangers they wouldn't be skangers -- like if you dream that you're dying you're not dying -- or is it that you are...

Nobody mixes cement, as far as I know.

I think the term you're struggling towards is "concrete", of which one ingredient is cement.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,397 ✭✭✭✭azezil

I got to know a bunch of skangers whilst working in a Cyber café on Aungier st., I asked them about their anti-social behaviour and why do they do it, they said they find it funny how people react to them, I didn't react to their attempts to intimidate so they just chatted to me.

So anyway the point of this meandering statement, it is my belief that it is due to society's reaction to their general appearance and demeanour which results in their behavioural patterns.
