    Have any of you guys ever bought anything off download.com??

    This is probably a very stupid question but when you BUY something off download.com how do you get your product?

    Do they post it to you, email it to you or what?

    I assumed you just downloaded it, hence the name, but I bought a program off them yesterday and after I'd put in my payement details and it was all finished I had nowhere to go! I got a mail with the payment details and it MENTIONED the word delivery but I don't know!

    Where's my product!!!

    Any reason you'd buy one of these when you can get them for free on about a million different places on the web?

    Assuming you mean AC3 -> Mp3 Converter.

    Dowload.com does a lot of shareware/trialware...when you buy something from them, you're basically registering the product you've already d/led...you should have received an activation code/number in an eMail, then opened your application and input the number into a form to activate it.
    No-one sends out physical discs anymore to my knowledge; at least not for such a small app as something like this...

    Thanks a million!!

    I did get that code mailed to me! I wondered what all those fancy numbers were for!

    I put them into the program and it's working like a charm!!!

    Thanks for your help. I choose to ignore the fact that I could have gotten one for free elsewhere!

    Yeah, but take this as a lesson...there's nearly always a free, legal alternative, especially when it come to codecs and common applications.

    I tried a few free DVD to MP3 rippers and they were all pretty crap. Some gave really bad quality sound, some couldn't count (when putting in time signatures) and some simply didn't work!

    Buying one on the cheap isn't all that bad!
