i'm thinking of upgrading/replacing my present system with one of komplett's bundles & new case & graphics card, however it seems that all the bundles come with SATA mobo's.
I've only recently put a new DVD writer and 200Gb HD into my present system, they're both IDE.
To save a few quid i was hoping to use these when building my new system.
Now to my question, i found this gadget SATA to IDE convertor and wondered if this is a legit way of doing it or am i looking at springing for a new DVD & HD.
    Anyone done this before?

    the details do say
    ATA-133 - connector(s): 2 x 40pin IDC
    ATA-100 - connector(s): 1 x 40pin IDC

Which does cover ur Hdd and dvd rw

But some motherboards these days are only comming with 1 ide channel to accomadate the dvd drive only
