Right folks.....how about this time we try and organise it properly!

Who would be on for a few drinks after the repeats? And for those of you not repeating....who would be on for a few end of summer "lets go and laugh at the retards that had to repeat" drinks?

How does the last Friday in August (26th) or the first Friday in September (2nd) sound?

Hopefully everyone repeating will be finished by then and we'd still have a couple of weeks before we're all back in the joyous place that is UCD. :p

Also, would people prefer to do it in town or out in Belfield?

We cant let those Trinners folk show us up on the drinking front.

i put down 2nd september 'cus its the mothers bday on the 26th - unless you repeaters are starting straight from the exam hall then its all good :)

    when are the repeats finished??

Is alcohol the only thing on your mind Peachy? ..... drunken fool :p

Eh well I think some of you guys know me well by now that the mention of the alcohol gets me pissed so I'm on my way now.

Friday 26th August sounds good to me..... just after the repeats and before the results come out so at this stage I won't have officially failed so I'll be in a jolly mood to say the least :) I think town is the only real option as I can't imagine the student bar being particularly mental and town is central so I'm telling ya to go for town!

BTW tribulus I have a solution to your dilemma. Why don't you come on the 26th bring your mother with you! That would be great craic! :D

I'm getting a little freaked out now...my mother's birthday is on the 26th of August, and someone else told me yesterday that their mother was born on that day as well....now you too?

Was the 26th of August a popular day for the child-bearing types or something?

Doyles is ok for a good old chat........ and alcohol comnsumption. Don't mind really where as long as it's not Bondaaaiii  , Annaaaabels  , Barkhhode  , QBar  , Bobs :D etc.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,604 ✭✭✭blondie83

Doyles or Bruxelles. Handels would be nice, but its a bit too far out of the way - plus I think they've gotten rid of the comfy seats they used to have there :(

    I'm HERE!
& touched that you remembered me!

    Free on either day.
If anyone else is broke, cans outside the pav is always a cheap alternative to indoor, pub drinking.
& smoking can happen too, Seb i'm lookin at you!

Actually Pat, that might not be a bad idea. Then someone can batter the head off someone. :(

    I'm up for drinking. And I'm time-flexible.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,875 ✭✭✭Seraphina

might wander along to this one.
will be on archaeology field work friday the 2nd so the 26th is better for me, but im sure i could make it along afterwards or soemthing

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,391 ✭✭✭arbeitsscheuer

    Doyle's all the way.

P.S. Cheers KittenKiller for considering my poverty/nicotine-addiction in your post! The Pav is a pretty kickass place, I must say. We can start off there and wander over to Doyle's when it gets dark. But I'm easy. :)

Unlike Doyles you can actually here what ppl are saying and unlike Bruxs you can actually breathe...although I still love them...sigh.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,391 ✭✭✭arbeitsscheuer

    Doran's is a toilet, ppl.
I should know, I live even closer to that than Doyle's.

    Any other suggestions?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,391 ✭✭✭arbeitsscheuer

Yeah the porterhouse is pretty good, haven;t been there in a few months.
Like trib said, just as long we can actually hear eachother talk then I'm in.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,604 ✭✭✭blondie83

Yeah haven't been there in absolutely ages, but always liked it! Seeing as were pretty evenly split between the two dates maybe we should have 2 beer sessions? I'm not an alcholic...really! :)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,124 ✭✭✭Jonny Arson

This actually mAy sound bizarre but I've never been in the Porterhouse!

It does look a cool place since I walk past it everyday on the way into work. I'll be up for there.

Also to that ''individual'' who said Doran's is a toilet and Doyle's isn't all I say is.....

ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha haaaaahhhhhhhaaaaaaaaa! What a comic genius!

Just shows the low standard of intelligence that is required to get into UCD eh....
