Hey, can anyone tell me if it is true that there are no pubs in Tunisia? I know the muslims don't drink, but there are plenty of nightclubs mentioned online, do they not sell alcohol?!

A mate of mine was there on a piss up holiday before as far as I remember, so I assume there is alcohol available somewhere.

It's NOT like Ibiza - alcohol consumption is confined to hotels & nightclubs. There's no pub culture in Tunisia at all because it is a Muslim country.

Beware of the local brandy Boukha - too much of it will give you the runs (tip... it's made from figs!)

Alcahol is available in all hotels, nightclubs and most restaurants. There are no pubs in the traditional sence of the word but dont worry, you wont go dry
