    Can you open PDF files without having Microsoft Word?

    PDF files have nothing to do with Word.

    You can open them using the free "Adobe Acrobat Reader".

    Adobe Acrobat/Reader is required to open PDF files....though shortcuts are installed within Word for conversion to PDF format if you have Adobe Acrobat.

    FoxIT is MUCH MUCH better for reading PDF's than Adobes bloated crap IMO.
    Give it a go and you will see for yourself, chances are you don't need any of the extra stuff.

    Maybe you meant Acrobat (as others have suggested above ;) ). If so, and you still want to open pdf's without Acrobat, try opening them through an image editor. :confused:

    I know I can open them with Photoshop, but that's Adobe software aswell.
