Small articles appearing in the playback of some dvds

Ive noticed over the last couple of weeks when I play certain dvds in Powerdvd or avi files i get small spcks of red on the playback Some times it happens quite a lot and sometimes it doesnt happen at all Anyon any ideas Cheers

Ive noticed over the last couple of weeks when I play certain dvds in Powerdvd or avi files i get small spcks of red on the playback

Some times it happens quite a lot and sometimes it doesnt happen at all

Anyon any ideas

(Assuming it is this)

They will annoy you no end once you start to notice. Especially in the cinema.

They are basically serial codings to map the movie to a particular DVD. They should appear in one frame every few minutes.
